"Dubai for the Future" announces the accession of "Middlesex" to the "University Incubators"

Dubai Future Foundation announced that Middlesex University Dubai has joined the “University Incubator Program”, which aims to empower university students with entrepreneurial skills, encourage them to develop innovative solutions and projects in various vital sectors and areas, and implement the goals of the “Dubai Strategy for University Free Zones” that was launched to activate the outputs The sixth item of the fiftieth document announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The university’s joining the program was announced during a meeting attended by the Executive Vice President of the Dubai Future Foundation, Abdulaziz Al-Jaziri, and the Director of Middlesex University Dubai, Dr. Sedwin Fernandez, and witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the two parties to provide distinguished opportunities for the university’s 3,800 students from about 118 nationality.

Al Jaziri stressed that encouraging young people to lead and succeed at an early age contributes to supporting the march of excellence, entrepreneurship and future industry in Dubai with promising cards and ideas that employ innovative ideas in developing pioneering projects that achieve their dreams and aspirations, and activate their contribution to support the development of the national economy.

He said: "Since its launch, the university incubator program has witnessed the participation of 13 national and international universities and academic institutions in the country, and provided the opportunity for undergraduate students in various practical disciplines to move to the stage of practical innovation, and crystallize their ideas and perceptions for various sectors in implementing quality projects on the ground."

For his part, Fernandez said: “Middlesex University Dubai aims to develop innovative approaches to education, and to give our students the opportunity to experiment with their ideas in a safe and innovative environment in order to advance the path of educational excellence.

We are honored to join the university incubator program and contribute to strengthening the efforts of the Dubai Future Foundation in designing the future of Dubai.”

He added: “Our participation in this program will contribute to promoting and spreading the culture of entrepreneurship in the UAE, through our various initiatives aimed at supporting the next generation of student entrepreneurs, and enhancing research cooperation between academia and various future sectors through the Center for Innovation and Excellence and the Center for Innovation in Human Experience.
