The TPP = Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement came into effect on the 19th in Peru, South America, and now has eight parties.

China has officially applied for membership in the TPP, and the response of the Parties will also be the focus.

The TPP = Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, in which 11 countries participate, came into effect in December 2018 after seven countries including Japan have completed domestic procedures.

Of the remaining four countries, Peru in South America became the eighth party to the agreement on the 19th, following the completion of domestic procedures for ratification of the TPP in July.

The Peruvian government issued a statement saying, "We will do our utmost to maximize the effects of participating in the TPP," and expressed expectations for expanding exports of clothing, fruits, and natural resources.

Regarding the TPP, China announced on the 16th of this month that it has officially applied for membership.

Participation requires the consent of all countries that have signed the TPP, but some countries have indicated that there are challenges in joining China, and what kind of response will the parties take? It is also the focus to take.
