Since members from the age of 16 can participate and vote in the church election, many young people are now voting for the first time in the polls.

In Södertälje parish, there are 100 16-year-olds entitled to vote, how many of those who went to the premises today remains to be seen.

- There are a lot of younger people who have been and voted, I can see that.

But I do not yet have figures on how many first-time voters it is about, says Lars Johnsson, chairman of the election committee in Södertälje pastorate.
