President Moon Jae-in, who visited the United States to attend the UN General Assembly, arrived at JFK Airport in New York.



President Moon will stay in New York until the 21st (local time) and hold a keynote speech at the UN General Assembly.



First, on the morning of the 20th, President Moon and BTS will attend the UN's 'Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Moment' opening session and give a speech.



The Blue House reported that President Moon was the only one to attend this session among the heads of UN member states.



On the afternoon of the 21st, he will give a keynote speech at the UN General Assembly to explain the South Korean government's unwavering efforts to denuclearize and establish peace on the Korean Peninsula in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the simultaneous accession of the two Koreas to the United Nations.



In addition, we plan to send a message that the international community should work together in overcoming COVID-19 and responding to global challenges such as climate change.



In New York, bilateral summits with the UK, Slovenia and Vietnam are also held.



Vaccine-related schedules are also planned, such as a meeting with the CEO of US pharmaceutical company Pfizer and a Korea-US vaccine partnership event.
