A black block within the demonstration carried a banner with a threat against the head of the Police Terrorism and Extremism Defense Center (PTAZ).

In the evening the situation in Connewitz gradually calmed down.

The Saxon officials had support from Berlin, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

According to the police department late in the evening, seven officers were slightly injured. Investigations had been initiated for, among other things, serious breach of the peace, dangerous bodily harm, damage to property, disturbance of the public peace through threats of criminal offenses and violations of the Assembly Act.
