Heads of General Staffs of the United States and Turkey discussed the situation in Afghanistan

This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the official representative of the KNSh Colonel David Butler.

It is noted that Milli and Guler discussed a number of security issues, as well as "the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan, security in the republic and counter-terrorist operations."

The parties also talked about the possibilities of preventing a humanitarian crisis in the country.

Earlier, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin and his Italian counterpart Lorenzo Guerini discussed the situation in Afghanistan during the talks.
