One week before the federal elections in Germany marking the end of the Merkel era, a third and final televised debate brought together the applicants on Sunday evening.

The third debate between the candidates for the chancellery especially highlighted the points in common between the Greens and the Social Democrats.
The leader of environmentalists Annalena Baerbock, whose party is only credited with around 15% of the vote, may have understood that she would not be the next chancellor.
This option, which environmentalists no longer really believe in, no longer forces her to attack

Towards a union of the lefts?
Social justice, increase in the minimum wage, tax increases for the richest, family policy: on these issues, the Greens and SPD are quite close.

", assures the environmental candidate.

wants to be clearly on the side of the SPD, the force which will spur the Social Democrats to fight faster and more effectively against global warming.
Asked about his favorite coalition, Olaf Scholz also displayed the color: “
I make no secret of my preference for a coalition with the Greens.

But SPD and Greens do not have an absolute majority in the polls.
They could govern with the liberals, but also with the party of the radical left.
An option denounced for several weeks by the CDU.
