  Officials of the Jalalabad Public Health Department told the media on the 18th that three explosions occurred in the 6th and 4th police districts that morning. The targets were all Taliban vehicles and the explosion caused 2 deaths. , 19 people were injured, most of the casualties were Taliban.

  Before the Taliban took over the Afghan regime on August 15, the Afghan branch of the "Islamic State", an extremist organization calling itself the "Islamic State Khorasan Province" had committed numerous attacks in Nangarhar Province and the capital Kabul.
