At the beginning of June, the critical edition of “Mein Kampf” hit the French book trade: “Historiciser le mal”. Editions Fayard had left no stone unturned to limit sales. The price of 100 euros was intended to put off buyers, the booksellers were urged not to exhibit the volume. But after three months, the first edition of 10,000 has been sold. The news magazine "Le Point" reported. Sophie Hogg, the editor responsible for the project at Fayard, is astonished by the fact that only a few university libraries have made use of the opportunity to obtain a free copy. The publisher has another 10,000 copies reprinted. All profits go to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation.
