"Justice for J6", meaning Justice for January 6, is the name of the rally organized by a former member of the Trump campaign in 2016. It is for the protesters to give their support to
people prosecuted
for their participation in the attack on Capitol Hill which caused the death of 5 people after a speech by Donald Trump.
The former president also lends his support to the demonstration in an unequivocal statement: “
Our hearts and minds are with the people unfairly persecuted for the January 6 demonstration over the rigged presidential election.
Despite the absence of tangible irregularities, Donald Trump therefore continues to carry his message.
Great police mobilization to secure the Capitol
Contrary to what happened on
January 6
, the Washington police force prepared accordingly with a plan described as solid.
The Capitol will be inaccessible.
The fence erected around the center of legislative power after the attack is back.
To avoid and repress possible violence, 5,000 police officers accompanied by 100 members of the National Guard will be mobilized.
According to the latest news, 500 to 700 demonstrators including members of far-right groups are announced.
Some could be armed, but for the organizers these are not welcome.
