China News Service, Beijing, September 18 (Zhu He) The Central Committee of the Taiwan League held the 2021 Mid-Autumn Festival Taiwan compatriots networking event on the 17th. Hundreds of Taiwan compatriots in multiple places on both sides of the strait reunited in the "cloud" to welcome the festive season.

　　The event was held simultaneously in the main venue of the Central Taiwan League and 19 local organization branch venues in the form of video connection.

"Under the shining moon of the same round, our hearts are very close. Taiwan is our common home. Today's event is a gift from the Taiwan League to people from hometown," said Su Hui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Taiwan League’s Central Committee. In the speech at the main venue, an explanation was given to the theme of the event "a round of bright moon illuminating the country".

　　She said that the natural feelings and national identity of the compatriots on both sides of the strait that blood is thicker than water, and that they help each other can't be changed by anyone or any force, and the innocence and patriotism of compatriots in Taiwan cannot be changed by anyone or any force.

　　During the event, members of the Taiwan League and Taiwan compatriots from all over the country conveyed their lingering thoughts of "one family on both sides of the strait, talking about the Mid-Autumn Festival" through singing songs, performing skits, and telling stories.

Tian Feng, former vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Taiwan League and son of Taiwan's ethnic minority compatriot Tian Fuda, appeared in the main venue wearing ethnic costumes and invited ethnic minority folks in Taiwan to send "blessings from home" through video.

Tian Feng told a reporter from Chinanews.com that he felt extremely proud of wearing national costumes during the reunion days.

　　"A deep love, taught me to miss until now..." The event ended in the "Cloud" chorus "The Moon Represents My Heart" at the main venue and various branch venues.

The Taiqing and Taiwanese students who participated in the event said that the Taiwan compatriots gathered here in the "cloud" and shared their homesickness, which was very warm and moved.
