President Moon Jae-in leaves today (19th) to attend the high-level meeting of the 76th UN General Assembly in New York, USA.



This is the 5th year in a row at the UN General Assembly since taking office in 2017.



President Moon will start the UN General Assembly schedule by attending the UN Sustainable Development Goals and SDG Moment session on the 20th.



BTS, who was appointed as the 'Presidential Special Envoy for Future Generations and Culture' in July, will also attend this meeting.



On the 23rd, he will give a keynote speech to the UN General Assembly.



In this keynote speech, attention is focused on whether President Moon's new plan for complete denuclearization and establishment of lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula will be presented as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the simultaneous joining of the United Nations by the two Koreas.



While attending the UN General Assembly, President Moon also holds meetings with the leaders of Slovenia and Vietnam, respectively, and is scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.



In addition, during this visit to the US, I will meet with Pfizer CEO Albert Bulla and attend the signing ceremony of the Korea-US vaccine cooperation agreement.



After completing his visit to the UN General Assembly, President Moon moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, to attend a ceremony for the mutual acceptance of the remains of the Korean War, before returning home.
