Day two of a three-day vote in Russia.

More than 100 million voters are called to renew their Parliament, but also some of their municipal, regional and governing councils.

A ballot played in advance in a locked system.

Yet United Russia, Vladimir Putin's party, which still wins, has never been so low in the polls.

In Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk region, Russian Urals), France 24 met opposition activists who are doing a poll for their blog.

"Are you going to vote for United Russia?" Asks Elena Pariy, one of them.

Some say no, others refuse to answer, and still others find the question too "provocative".

"We're like beggars"

"Public opinion is radically changing, in particular because of the pension reform and amendments to the Constitution," explains Elena Pariy.

"And even these pre-election subsidies, many saw it as a bribe."

"They gave 10,000 rubles to retirees, who have to choose between buying briefs or socks with them," said Olga, who saw her meager retirement coming as a supplement to her odd jobs.

Because of the reform, she will have to wait another eight years before receiving it.

"Thank you, Putin! Thanks to him, I would have arrived in Beijing on foot faster than to receive my pension," she continues, angry.

"We are like beggars, we buy everything on promotion. We eat expired products because they are on sale."

Olga, a saleswoman in a supermarket and former supporter of Vladimir Putin, has also radically changed her mind.

"For a long time, I had rose-colored glasses, but I lost them, and the last straw was the pension reform," she said at the microphone of France 24. "Look at our provinces: people are sinking in misery and alcohol because they have nothing to do, there is no work. "

"We love it, that's all"

United Russia still enjoys a lot of support.

France 24 met some of them during a meeting with Vyacheslav Vegner, candidate for the Sverdlovsk Regional Council.

"I believe that all those who are in this party, all of them, are people who do a lot for the country," said Valentina Yakova, retiree.

However, she cannot really say why.

"We love him, that's all."

"The disappointment of the moment is none other than the expectation of having even better. But the best is the enemy of the good!", Affirms Vyacheslav Vegner.

It seems that the stability advocated by Vladimir Putin is floundering.

But the ballot is decided in advance.
