Construction of the new ramp, which measures an impressive ten meters in width and four in height, started in earnest in May 2021 after the parts were transported on site during the autumn.

- We tightened the last screws yesterday at two o'clock, says Daniel Schön who is responsible for operations at the association Örebro Skateboard.

It feels great that it's done now.

As good a skateboard city as possible

On Saturday, the ramp was inaugurated by skiers of all ages.

Among those present were 15-year-old Hampus Winberg, who almost made the national team for the Olympics earlier this year, and 13-year-old Hedda Hjertberg, who is one of Sweden's best female skiers.

In contrast, the history of the ramp was presented on site by Hans "Puttis" Johansson, Sweden's best performer in the 80s and still active as a 57-year-old.

- We try to make Örebro as good a skateboard city as possible, says Daniel Schön.

There are not many trampolines in the country so we hope that the city can become a destination for skiers from all over the country.
