From September 13 to 14, 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Yulin, Shaanxi, and visited two villages in the hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi: Gaoxigou Village and Haojiaqiao Village.
Gaoxigou Village is a model for ecological management of the Loess Plateau. It has embarked on a road of coordinated development of ecology and economy, and harmonious coexistence of man and nature. It is also a new path for the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi.
Haojiaqiao Village is a "national model of poverty alleviation", actively developing characteristic industries, improving public service facilities, and grasping the policy opportunities for rural revitalization after poverty alleviation, and continuing to work hard, pioneer and innovate.
The general secretary always cared about the land of northern Shaanxi, as well as the fathers and villagers here.
46 years ago, he left northern Shaanxi; 46 years later, he returned here with the solemn promise that "the people's yearning for a better life is our goal".
The Loess Plateau, which was once full of ravines, is now full of lush greenery, and the poor folks are gradually moving from food and clothing to prosperity.
