"The eastern zone of the PLA's combat command held on September 17 military exercises in real combat in the air and at sea in the southwestern waters of Taiwan," the spokesman said in a statement to TASS.
According to him, ships, early warning aircraft and bombers were involved in the exercise.
Earlier, Shi Yi said that the Chinese Armed Forces (AF) consider the passage of the American missile destroyer Barry through the Taiwan Strait unacceptable.
