It was on Thursday that the Cabinet Office, the British equivalent of the Prime Minister's Office, launched the new plans that will change rules and directives from the time before Brexit so that they are more in line with the interests of the British people.

The proposals included AI use, digital driving licenses and once again allowing pubs to use the traditional crown stamp as the sole marking on, among other things, beer glasses.

The stamp indicated that the glass held exactly 1 pint or half a pint.

In 2007, a requirement was introduced to use a CE marking on the glasses in line with the rest of the EU.

Although many interpreted it as a ban on the crown stamp, it was still allowed - as long as it could not be confused with the CE marking, according to the Daily Express.

Kilograms and centilitres become pounds and ounces

But the proposal that may have provoked the most reactions is to once again allow the British units of measurement - such as pounds, ounces and pints - when selling food and other goods.

During the country's time in the EU's internal market, they had to use the so - called SI units: grams, liters and meters.

What consequences can this have?
