The relatives do not want to be quoted, but SVT has been in contact with them and all confirm that the person received two doses of vaccine against covid-19 and thus was fully vaccinated.
The first information
It was last week that SVT Norrbotten reported on a major outbreak in a nursing home in Överkalix municipality.
The social manager then stated that around 15-20 people were infected with covid-19, both staff and users.
- According to information, it is about an unvaccinated elderly person who has died, said infection control doctor Anders Nystedt, to SVT.
"Of course they are right"
With the information that has now emerged from relatives, Anders Nystedt says:
- The case that I have commented on had, according to information from the care provider, chosen not to get vaccinated.
But in the case where relatives have heard from you, then of course they are right - absolutely!
He continues:
- But, as has been said, it has now emerged that more people have died.
Överkalix municipality are the ones who have the details.
