From his hometown of Gulistan, where the epidemic was relatively mild, he rushed to the capital Tashkent, more than 100 kilometers away, and volunteered to serve as an interpreter for the Chinese Medical Working Group.

  Kenrebayev accompanied Chinese doctors to hospitals in Samarkand, Andiyan, Fergana and other places to conduct experience exchanges and on-site demonstrations.
