17 September 2021 108 migrants - Tunisians, Egyptians, Nigerians, Syrians and Libyans - arrived in Lampedusa during the night, with three different boats.

At the moment, 880 people are present at the hotspot in the Imbriacola district.



During the night, the carabinieri intercepted 7 Tunisians who landed autonomously on the commercial pier with a 6-meter boat.

The Port Authority spotted a 12-meter boat carrying 87 migrants on board one mile from the coast, including a woman.

Also the Coast Guard, 2 miles south of Lampedusa, intercepted another 6-meter long boat with 14 Egyptians on board.



For today, the transfer of two unaccompanied minors with a Guardia di Finanza patrol boat that will take them to Porto Empedocle is expected from the first reception facility and about 200 migrants will be boarded on the Allegra quarantine ship.
