Hundreds of migratory birds were killed in New York, USA when they crashed into the World Trade Center building while flying.

According to the New York Post on the 16th, local time, during the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, in a few days this week, a large number of migratory birds collided with the outer wall of the WTC and fell, piling up dead birds on the streets.

According to a bird conservation group, every year migratory birds lose their sense of direction and collide with buildings due to light leaking from buildings and light reflected from windows. He said he fell and died.

An official from a bird protection group appealed, "Turn off the lights in the building and take measures to prevent light from leaking through the windows."

Another official said, "The lights should be reduced at night so as not to obstruct the flight of birds."

The World Trade Center said, "Especially during the migratory period, we strongly recommend that tenants turn off night lights and install blinds."
