It was in August that Emma Stjernlöf (M) left all her assignments in the region after a long period of internal conflicts within both her own party and the ruling Alliance.

Initially, it was decided that she would stay until the end of September, but thus chose to leave early.

Since then, the regional councilor Erik Lindborg (KD), who sits as vice chairman, has temporarily led the political work in the health and medical care committee.

Presented the replacement

On Friday, the Moderates in the Blekinge Region called a press conference to present two party members who will in future hold significant roles within the Alliance.

Who will replace Emma Stjernlöf (M) is Anders Lund, who has been chairman of Ronneby municipality's care and welfare committee.

- The result was clear last night.

I thank you for the trust, he says.
