A father was sentenced to four years in prison by the court of Bourgoin-Jallieu (Isère) on Thursday, for sexual assault committed on his two eldest daughters.
These acts were reportedly brought to the attention of the gendarmes in the context of another case involving the defendant, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.
He is also suspected of domestic violence and forced sex on his wife.
Years of silence
The forty-something has abused two of his daughters for years when they were teenagers.
According to information from our colleagues, the victims would have remained silent to avoid imploding their families.
During his custody, the father had admitted the facts but denied having attacked the youngest of his daughters, aged 5.
He was also released from the charge of sexual assault on the girl.
The court, on the other hand, went beyond the requisitions of the public prosecutor concerning the closed prison.
His sentence is accompanied by a socio-judicial follow-up of four years and he will have to compensate his two older children.
The man was taken to prison as soon as he left the hearing.
