US Congresswomen surprised attendees at the "Met Gala" fashion party at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, by wearing dresses bearing political messages and expressing their trends during the coming period.

Representative Ocasio-Cortez attended the ceremony wearing a dress that read "Tax the rich" (French)

And before haters get wild flying off the handle, New York elected officials are routinely invited to and attend the Met due to our responsibilities in overseeing and supporting the city's cultural institutions for the public.

I was one of several in attendance in this evening.🤗

Representative Ocasio-Cortez, who is affiliated with the progressive movement of the Democratic Party, participated in a dress that read "Take taxes on the rich", in a renewed call for her message that she had previously sent on her Twitter account.

The medium is the message.

Kurtz commented on the photo of her dress and the message on it, saying, "Before the haters explode, elected officials in New York are routinely invited to the Met Gala, and attendance is an expression of oversight of the city's cultural responsibilities and support for the public."

Tax the rich.

Representative Caroline Maloney also wore a dress calling for equal rights between men and women, saying "At the state level, women's rights are under threat," noting her use of fashion as a force for change and for equal rights for women.

Across the country, women's rights are under attack.

I have long used fashion as a force 4 change.

As the Met Costume Institute reopens w/ their inaugural exhibit celebrating American designers, I am calling 4 the certification of the ERA so women can be equal once and for all.

Impressive interactions

The Met Gala 2021 fashion party caused an uproar on social media, which was celebrated after an absence last year due to Corona.

The ceremony was hosted by New York City, and this year was devoted to American fashion under the title "In America.. A Dictionary of Fashion", and the deputies chose political phrases that show their tendency to advocate for women's issues.

And the fact that the only people in attendance wearing masks were "the help" – the crew, and not horrific entitled completely un-self-aware morons like AOC.

That's the other message.

This was the biggest self-own ever, and AOC doesn't even see it.

This will do it!

You did it!

Rich are taxed!

Haters will say this was all about bringing attention to yourself but we know that nobody knew that was your message until this!

Like, nobody knew!

Going to an ostentatious 30k a seat celebrity event will connect hard with da people!
