"Due to the recorded increase in the incidence of illness, hospital bases are almost 100% filled, which significantly increases the workload on doctors, thereby complicating the difficult conditions in which they have been working for a year and a half," the agency said in a statement to TASS.

The ministry noted that the epidemiological situation in the DPR remains tense.

They added that new hospital bases are being opened to solve the problem.

On Tuesday, September 14, DPR doctors detected a record 672 new cases of coronavirus infection per day.

Earlier, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called the inequality in the distribution of coronavirus vaccines in the world "a stain on the collective conscience."
