The work environment at the surgery unit has been on the agenda for a long time.
Last summer, a protest meeting was held against working conditions, staff have left and at the beginning of the year, the manager also left.
In March, the chief safety representatives turned to the Swedish Work Environment Authority and requested that the Swedish Work Environment Authority issue an injunction or ban.
The Swedish Work Environment Authority carried out an inspection and now the region is required to take action.
By 25 November 2021, the region must:
Relieve the workload at the Surgeon's Unit
Clarify tasks and prioritize them
Ensure routines when staff are moved from outpatient care to inpatient care
Give employees and safety representatives the opportunity to participate in work environment work
If the measures are not taken in November, the Swedish Work Environment Authority demands a fine of SEK 400,000.
