According to the regional investigation department, a squad of police officers arrived at the house, from which the shots were fired.
It turned out that a local resident, born in 1940, was shooting from a firearm.
“The police, being at the entrance of the said house, demanded from the offender to stop illegal actions, to which he, being inside his apartment, fired several shots from a firearm in the direction of the police officers,” the investigators note.
The weapon was seized, the suspect was detained and placed in a psychiatric institution.
Investigative actions are underway.
