Suspicion continues over the development project in Daejang-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. At the center of the controversy is a company called 'Hwacheon Daeyu'. It is an asset management company founded by a former journalist and major shareholder with an investment of 50 million won.

In the course of our investigation, we obtained a list of internal employees as to why a company with a 1% stake in the developer has achieved such a high return. The daughter of former Special Prosecutor Park Young-soo and the son of Kwak Sang-do, a member of the People's Forces, worked there, and it has been confirmed that former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il is currently serving as an advisor in addition to them.

Reporter Lee Hyun-young covered the story.

<Reporter> This

is the list of executives and employees who worked for Hwacheon Daeyu between 2020 and 2021, as obtained by SBS.

Among the 20 or so people, the name Kwon Soon-il is written.

As a result of interrogation based on the message that he was in his 60s, we found a clue that he was former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il, who retired in September last year.

I went to my house to check if it was the same person.

A black van was waiting in front of the apartment.

Neighbors testified that it was the vehicle used by former Supreme Court Justice Kwon, but the driver denied it.

[Driver: I left my car yesterday and went to dinner... But why are you calling?]

I heard the position of former Supreme Court Justice Kwon.

Former Supreme Court Justice Kwon acknowledged the fact that he was working, saying that Kim Mo, a major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu, who was close as a representative of the legal reporters, offered to appoint him as an adviser and accepted it.

However, he emphasized that he was taking a break from all public office and accepted the position of advisor after confirming that there were no legal problems.

However, he refrained from saying anything to the company about the contents of the contract, such as the vehicle provided and the torture fee.

I immediately went to the Hwacheon Daeyu office, but the door was closed and I couldn't hear anyone in the end.

Most of the Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management staff left the office a while ago saying they had an outside schedule, and the major shareholder, Mr. Kim, changed his cell phone number and cannot be reached.

In addition to former Supreme Court Justice Kwon, the daughter of former Special Prosecutor Park Young-soo and the son of National Power Rep. Kwak Sang-do are also listed on the company's employee list.

They explain that there was no connection with the majority shareholder, Mr. Kim, in the child's employment process.

Nevertheless, suspicions continue to grow as to why the names of big names in the legal and political circles are mentioned in wealth management companies with an investment of 50 million won.
