Blue coach Corinne Deacon announced Thursday that she had entrusted the captain's armband to Lyonnaise Wendie Renard, from whom she had withdrawn at the start of her term in 2017, for Euro-2022.
"The captain from tomorrow and until the Euro will be Wendie", announced the boss of the Bleues to L'Equipe and AFP, present in Patras on the eve of Greece-France on Friday (5:00 p.m.) at the start of the qualifications for the World Cup-2023.
"We think first of all of the general interest, of the team. This news has been announced and accepted by everyone in a great way," she added.
