Al-Ghafli said that out of the Abu Dhabi Police's keenness on the safety of students while getting on and off the school bus, a school bus radar was activated, to violate the non-stop when the "stop" arm was opened, calling on drivers to stop completely when they saw the "stop" arm open in school buses. And leaving a distance of five meters between the vehicle and the school bus when it is stopped, in order to avoid the student’s unaware behavior in the event of getting off the bus, and moving in a direction that causes an accident with the vehicle.

He stated that the Traffic and Patrols Directorate sets an integrated plan at the beginning of each new academic year, in cooperation with the strategic partners, the Integrated Transport Center, the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education and Knowledge, to ensure that students reach their study seats safely, including a campaign aimed at educating school bus drivers, through making lectures. He explained that the lectures focus on ensuring that all school bus drivers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi obtain permits to practice the profession, which are issued by the Integrated Transport Center and Abu Dhabi Police. He pointed out that during the first school week, traffic patrols are distributed in all roads around schools to monitor traffic, and in the event of congestion, they organize traffic to ensure that students reach their seats, adding that there are awareness teams that carry out field visits to schools, and provide awareness lectures for students and staff. Educational and administrative, in addition to raising awareness of the precautionary measures set by the Emergency and Crisis Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
