A llama wandering through the corridors of a hospital in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme)?

This is the show attended by the patients of Louise-Michel's long-term care unit on Tuesday.

As reported by France 3 Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, the Touminis educational farm visited the residents in the company of several animals.

Thus, the alpaca took an elevator to go directly to the corridors and the rooms of the residents.

Therapeutic interest

“We try to bring real life and animals into the site.

This is already done through animal mediation with so-called classic animals.

There, there was a llama, a donkey, a small horse, chickens… The idea is for some residents to regain contact with the animals, ”explains the director of the site, Marie-Anne Delrieu, to our colleagues.

According to her, this contact has precisely therapeutic virtues, especially for people with severe illness, who have difficulty reaching caregivers.

This particular animation lasted four hours and will be reissued, assures the director.

It also plans to set up a permanent circus in the hospital grounds.
