“Today, the leaders of Britain, the United States and Australia have agreed on a landmark defense and security partnership that will defend and promote common interests in the Indo-Pacific region,” the statement said.

As noted, within the framework of the AUKUS alliance, the countries intend to facilitate the exchange of technologies.

“AUKUS will promote deeper integration of science, technology, industrial bases and supply chains related to security and defense,” added the press service.

As British Prime Minister Boris Johnson noted, the AUKUS alliance will bring the three countries closer together, "creating a new defense partnership and providing jobs and prosperity." 

Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden on September 15, is expected to announce the creation of a joint working group with the UK and Australia to exchange advanced technologies in the defense sector.
