September 15, 2021 United States, United Kingdom and Australia launch a security partnership for the Indo-Pacific zone to contain the Chinese threat in particular.

The announcement in a virtual summit between US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The three leaders stressed that the partnership between the three countries will promote deeper sharing of information and technology, greater integration in defense and security as well as industrial bases and supply chains.

The trilateral pact to share advanced military technologies relates inter alia to nuclear submarines in the Indian Ocean. The agreement, called Aukus, for the tenant of the White House is, as the Financial Times writes, a "bastion against China".
