For its part, the Department of Education and Knowledge confirmed the possibility of students’ families accompanying their children to the entrances or exits, without entering the building itself, pointing out that schools are required to specify places to wait, put signs to stop, and organize entry and departure times alternately.


In detail, "Emirates Today", in field visits, monitored gatherings of students' families in front of the gates of some schools, without adhering to the distancing distance, which raised concerns about the possibility of transmitting the virus to their children.


They also complained about the crowding of vehicles in the vicinity of the school, due to random parking, which causes obstruction to traffic, in addition to families gathering at the school gates waiting for their children to leave, “which exposes students to friction with them during their exit due to the lack of sufficient distances to allow them to move safely.”


They pointed out that school administrations refused to allow students' families to enter the school yard to wait for their children, calling for the development of a flexible mechanism for students' exit, and the application of different exit dates between classes.


For its part, the Department of Education and Knowledge confirmed that the students’ families can accompany their children to the entrances and exits only, that is, without the parent or guardians entering the building, where only one person is allowed to accompany the student when entering or leaving the school, noting that the students’ families in the classroom can The first or less accompany their children to the classroom, after they meet the health conditions for entry.


She stressed the importance of using the authority to accompany children to classrooms in cases where the child is unable to stay in school without a guardian, taking into account the security and safety measures imposed on employees, and that no form of communication occurs between them and other students.


The department pointed out in the "protocols for entering and leaving the school", that the school should specify unidirectional entrances and exits.


And she said: "If this is not possible, the direction must be determined according to priority, and at specific times of the day (ie, the direction inbound upon arrival, or vice versa upon departure, with an arrow sign indicating the correct direction)." To facilitate movement, schools are advised to use as many gates as possible, and to allocate entrances according to their proximity to classrooms to reduce mixing.


She pointed out the need for schools to commit to defining waiting areas at entrances and exits, with parking signs that are separated by a distance of at least a meter, and that entrances and exits be under the supervision of trained persons to follow the movement and apply precautionary measures and measures.


She stressed the need to organize entry and departure times at the entrances and exits alternately, to avoid and reduce the opportunities for students to access private vehicles and buses at the same time, and to inform parents of the arrival and departure dates of each group, in addition to raising their awareness of entry and exit policies and regulations, noting the possibility of allocating entrances and exits for students of determination, And provide them with the necessary measures to meet their different needs, with these plans being developed and discussed in the risk assessment and when preparing the individual education plan.


The department called on schools to inform students of determination and their parents of entry and exit points and the procedures related to them, which include school times and dates, pointing out that some schools may have to make adjustments to the time to adjust the entry and exit process, according to the student's age, ability and behavioral needs.


For his part, the National Ambulance stressed the need for students’ families to abide by the instructions of the health and educational authorities in the country to maintain the distance, and to take the necessary precautions while accompanying children from schools, advising parents to follow public safety guidelines that avoid them and community members from dangers, and contribute to ensuring a safe return to schools and maintaining To everyone's safety.


He called on the students’ families to adhere to conducting a “Covid-19” (PCR) examination according to the instructions issued by the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, to obtain vaccination for those who apply to it, to inform the school in the event of travel or contact, to adhere to all procedures, and to check the temperature before heading To school and not to send children if they are high or feel sick, and to ensure that the children are committed to wearing the muzzle and the presence of additional masks with them, and urging children to maintain clean hands and ensure that they have a personal sterilizer, and to raise awareness of the commitment to social distancing.


The National Ambulance indicated the need to ensure that children are provided with healthy food and a bottle of water, leave the house early, adhere to school schedules, adhere to safe driving, adhere to the specified speed, be careful when passing through school areas and buses, stop correctly when delivering children in a way that does not obstruct traffic, and give priority Crossing the road for students, in addition to driving slowly and carefully when seeing school buses and not passing them and stopping completely when loading or unloading students.

Isolation areas The


Department of Education and Knowledge obligated private schools to allocate an isolation area close to the main gates for students who suffer from some symptoms when conducting the examination to wait for their parents or guardians to receive them.


The isolation area is a closed waiting area, different from the quarantine room, in which masks and sterilizers are available.

Preferably also contain some form of touch-free pastime (eg TV, toys or books that can be easily sanitized).

The isolation area and the things in it must be cleaned and disinfected after use.


She stressed the importance of checking the temperature of each person when entering school, or riding the school bus, with devices that do not require body contact.
