What are the advantages of the 2-G regulation?

The 2-G regulation holds out the prospect of a return to normality and for the first time also offers discotheque operators real prospects.

For example, if a restaurateur decides to only admit those who have recovered or who have been vaccinated, the mask requirement and distance rules are lifted.

Operators who choose this model may only use personnel who have also recovered or have been vaccinated for these events.

The vaccination status of the employees must therefore be queried.

Are there any exceptions for children?

For children in daycare centers and schools nothing will change for the time being.

There are still two tests per week at school and a mask requirement.

To attend a 2-G event or a 2-G eatery, parents can take their children under the age of six with them without further testing.

Older children can use their school test book to prove that they are not infectious, at least if they are not older than eleven years.

Since there is a vaccination recommendation for adolescents from twelve to 17 years of age, they too must be immunized if they want to accompany their parents to the restaurant, the Ministry of Social Affairs announced.

How will the culture react to the new regulations?

"We definitely play according to 3-G," says a spokeswoman for the Frankfurt theater. In the Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt, on the other hand, one can certainly imagine restricting admission to vaccinated and convalescent people. Although 2-G is currently not planned, it should be checked, especially with a view to the big Liebermann show that will open at the beginning of October: “The protection of health has priority.” The Wiesbaden Museum, on the other hand, wants to keep 3-G at the big one Anniversary exhibition “Everything! 100 years of Jawlensky in Wiesbaden ”. The Darmstadt State Theater will also remain with 3-G. The Frankfurt Opera wants to continue the 3-G rule in September and October, said a spokesman. Then you want to weigh up. Opera and drama had only received approval from the health department last week,to be able to completely fill their halls again under the 3-G requirement.

What exactly happens when the first or second stage is reached in the new stage model?

In response to a request from the FAZ, the state government announced that it would take the “necessary additional measures to prevent overloading of the health system and, in particular, of the hospitals”.

In a first step, this can be access restrictions to events.

For example, it is conceivable to require unvaccinated people to perform a negative PCR test or to exclude them from events.

The vaccination rate in Hesse is 62.4 percent.

A cause for concern?

Not if you look at the rate separately by age group: for those over sixty, it is 82.4 percent.

72.4 percent of the adults have already been vaccinated twice.

The vaccination rate, with which it was still possible to clearly record in the first half of the year how many people were vaccinated for the first time, is becoming increasingly ambiguous: One-off booster vaccinations are now being added, mostly for seniors who received their first injection in January who have recovered also only one vaccination.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is only given once anyway.

With every STIKO recommendation, the number of potential vaccinees changes - most recently, the vaccination was recommended for children from twelve to 17 years of age as well as for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

How soon can I get full vaccination coverage?

Anyone who decides to have a vaccination today can show full vaccination protection in two weeks at the earliest, but five weeks at the latest. This is confirmed by Benedikt Hart, head of the Frankfurt vaccination center in the festival hall. According to him, hundreds of people still come in every day to pick up their first vaccination in Hesse's largest vaccination center. "It is a cross-section of society that is coming," says Hart. The elderly senior is there as well as young people, for whom the Standing Vaccination Commission only recently made a vaccination recommendation. In Frankfurt at least, visitors to the festival hall can choose between the vaccines BioNTech, Moderna and the single vaccine Johnson & Johnson. With the latter, full vaccination protection is achieved after two weeks. If you choose Moderna, must wait at least three weeks before the second vaccination, if you choose BioNTech only two. 14 days must elapse after receiving the intended doses before one is considered "fully vaccinated". Anyone who wants to be immunized before November 1st “has to step on the gas now,” says Hart. By then at the latest, according to plans by the state government, employers could be relieved. You should no longer be obliged to continue paying wages to unvaccinated employees if they are in quarantine.By then at the latest, according to plans by the state government, employers could be relieved. Where can I get vaccinated if the vaccination centers are closing?

According to the plan, the Hessian vaccination centers should close on September 30th.

In many cities and districts, however, further vaccination offers are made beyond this period.

In Frankfurt, for example, there should be a “vaccination center light”.

In the exhibition hall 1.2., In the immediate vicinity of the festival hall, vaccinations are to be offered without an appointment from Tuesday between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Due to the renovation and dismantling work, no spontaneous vaccinations can be carried out between Saturday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 21.

General practitioners are also still involved in the vaccination campaign.
