“We were very much surprised and disappointed when we received a

letter from

you (the chairman of the UNGA -

RT

) on September 14,” TASS reports.

It is clarified that the UN "firmly supports" the requirement to present a certificate of vaccination to enter the General Assembly Hall.

As Nebenzya emphasized, this requirement contradicts the 1947 agreement between the United Nations and the United States on the UN headquarters, and also violates the charter of the world organization.

Earlier, the new President of the UN General Assembly, Abdullah Shahid, said that all people in the world should be vaccinated against coronavirus by the end of 2022.
