Woman shot dead in Vicenza, murderer on the run

15 September 2021 Tragic epilogue for the crime of Alessandra Zorzin, the 21-year-old girl killed in Montecchio Maggiore, in the Vicenza area.
In the evening the man believed to be the main suspect in the murder took his own life, shooting himself with the gun he had used to commit the crime.
The murderer is the 38-year-old Marco Turrin, resident of Vigodarzene, a security guard. The attention of the Carabinieri immediately focused on the man, who had acquired numerous clues from him right from the start. The search for the suspect was immediately started, and in the meantime he had lost track of him by driving away in his own car. During the day his passage in this province and in other neighboring ones had been identified several times, without however that the numerous patrols deployed were able to intercept him.
In the evening, the car was detected again in the province, in the Creazzo area. Soon the car was intercepted in the Vicenza Ovest area by two patrols of the Carabinieri and the State Police, who were actively collaborating in the search for the suspect; at the sight of the patrols, the Turrin, feeling trapped by now, shot himself inside his car. Immediate but in vain help.
