This Wednesday, the vaccination obligation for caregivers came into force.

Doctors, nurses, firefighters must be vaccinated if they want to work.

Paramedics are among the least vaccinated paramedics.

This risks disrupting the transport of patients.

REPORTING

This Wednesday, the vaccination obligation for caregivers came into force.

Doctors, nurses and orderlies are now required to be vaccinated to be able to continue working.

Among the least vaccinated professions there are paramedics.

They had to be convinced to do both injections but many will not be at work today.

In Carcassone, in Aude, a company has paid the price for the non-vaccination of its staff.

Covid-19: these caregivers who remain mobilized against the vaccine obligation

10% who refuse vaccination

"We still have these famous 10% of staff who refuse vaccination," explains Olivier Assier, departmental representative of the profession.

According to him, around forty ambulance workers based in the Aude will not go to work as of today.

A situation that risks destabilizing many companies, because in the absence of staff, it is impossible to run the vehicles transporting patients.

"We will inevitably ask the other collaborators to replace them on nights, Saturdays, Sundays, on the holidays to come. We will have some inevitable tensions."

The figures of the vaccination of caregivers before their obligation

"We had to convince"

In the company headed by Olivier Assier, 30% of the staff were unvaccinated in early August.

They had to be convinced before the fateful date of September 15.

A real race against time for the director of human resources of the company, Alexandra Guidicelli, who had to do "pedagogy".

She received recalcitrant people to explain the situation to them and make an appointment for them on Doctolib.

"It kept us busy the whole month of August", confesses the HRD.

Those who continue to refuse vaccination can for the moment ask for leave, but then risk the suspension of their employment contract.

Unless you succeed in finding a reclassification in the company, difficult however to envisage because in the sector, 80% of the personnel are rolling.
