A 37-year-old man was seriously injured in the explosion of a warehouse located in an industrial area of Nîmes (Gard).
According to the Gard firefighters, who were dispatched to the scene this Wednesday morning at 9 am, it is an employee of the establishment.
He is in serious condition, and was taken care of by the emergency services.
The explosion, the origin of which is currently unknown, caused a fire, which spread "extremely quickly", continue the firefighters.
The risk of spread to neighboring establishments is however avoided.
