The two winning artists of Sanremo Giovani will have direct access to the Champions' competition. Furthermore, according to the new Sanremo Giovani regulation, the age range is further lowered to participate, between 16 and 29 years old (as of January 1, 2022) and the 30 selected artists who will access the live auditions will have to propose to the Commission Two unreleased songs are musical, one for Sanremo Giovani, while the second will be presented - in case of victory - in February in the next edition of the Festival. The regulation is online from today Tuesday 14 September.
From 1 to 5 February at the Ariston only the Champions will compete in the competition, among which the two winners of Sanremo Giovani, crowned in the final on Wednesday 15 December, will enter by right.
The 12 finalists of Sanremo Giovani - Wednesday 15 December, from the Teatro del Casinò di Sanremo, live on Rai1 - will first have to pass a series of passages and "exams". The first step will see the artistic director and the musical commission chaired by him engaged first in listening to all the pieces (results in compliance with the participation requirements), then in the choice of the 30 artists who will perform in the live auditions in Room A of via Asiago. In this phase 8 of the 12 finalists of Sanremo Giovani will be selected. The other four artists who will compose the parterre of the grand final in December will be chosen, again by the Musical Commission, among the winners of the Sanremo Area contest, the competition of the Municipality of Sanremo managed by the Symphony Orchestra Foundation.
