"Within the framework of the Russia-ASEAN ministerial meeting, the Roadmap for trade and investment cooperation and the Work Program for its implementation were approved, which create the foundation for further interaction and implementation of joint economic projects for a five-year period," the statement says.

It is noted that Russia was represented at the meeting by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilyichev.

In July, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that increased interaction between the association with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) would give additional dynamics to the trade between Russia and ASEAN.
