Catalonia Pedro Sánchez and ERC reinforce their alliance with Junts outside the negotiating table
The Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, and the head of Universities, Manuel Castells, will not finally be part of the Government delegation at the meeting of the
dialogue table on Catalonia
to be held this Wednesday in Barcelona.
Six ministers were expected to attend together with the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez: Presidency,
Félix Bolaños
(coordinator of the group);
the second vice president,
Yolanda Díaz
;
Territorial Policy and spokesperson,
Isabel Rodríguez
;
Culture,
Miquel Iceta
;
Transport, Raquel Sánchez;
and Universities, Manuel Castells.
But the last two will not be present finally, in a decision that Executive sources have explained to Efe that it has been adopted to
"balance" the delegations
of both parties.
After the refusal of
Junts per Catalunya
to rectify its proposal of participants at the table that was vetoed by President
Pere Aragonès
since three of them were not part of the Government, the delegation of the Generalitat will be made up of only three people.
Specifically, Aragonès himself and his councilors
Laura Vilagrà
and
Roger Torrent
, both from ERC.
The departure of the Minister of Transport has been decided after last weekend the government representatives that were initially planned were added and after the stoppage of the expansion
of the El Prat airport
was made public
.
