On August 24, the owner of a Mercedes class B found his vehicle without wheels and damaged, placed on four concrete blocks, in Combleux in the Loiret.

By going to the Bon Coin site the same evening, the victim had found similar wheels for sale at 400 euros.

The two alleged perpetrators of this theft, aged 18 and 21, found themselves at the bar of the Orléans judicial court on Friday, reports

The investigation quickly led to the 21-year-old suspect, who had posted the stolen rims on Le Bon Coin with his phone number and email address.

The young man had already been convicted of theft.

He had numerous mentions on his criminal record, and a recent conviction had earned him the wearing of the electronic bracelet, specifies the regional daily.

Fourteen months in prison for the oldest

The 18-year-old, with a lighter judicial past, had spent part of the evening with the main suspect.

A notice on Mercedes wheels had been found in his room.

The two men were ordered to pay 6,400 euros in material damage to the victim, as well as 200 euros in moral damage.

The 21-year-old was sentenced to 14 months in prison, including two for the revocation of a previous suspended sentence.

His alleged accomplice has been released but will return to prison to serve four months of a previous sentence.
