China News Service, September 14th. According to a report by the Russian Satellite Network citing the German Le Monde, the outgoing German Chancellor Merkel is on a "farewell trip", but when she visited Warsaw, she was ignored by the Polish side. Polish President Duda suddenly changed the meeting plan and did not meet with Merkel.

German media believe that the Polish president’s move is an insult to the German Chancellor.

"Le Monde" author Philip Fritz wrote that the meeting between Merkel and Duda was planned in advance. However, after Merkel arrived in Warsaw on the 11th, she had to change her visit plan.

The official Polish reason was a schedule problem, saying that Duda was going to Katowice to participate in the event that day (so he could not meet with Merkel).

Fritz emphasized that during Merkel's "farewell trip", she was received by non-EU U.S. President Biden and Ukrainian President Zelensky, while Poland, a member of the European Union, refused to meet her.

Fritz believes that Duda said there is no time to meet Merkel, "this is not very credible."

Warsaw’s move was an insult, calling it an “insult at the end of her 16-year term” for Merkel.

Fritz analyzed that Poland decided to respond in this way to Merkel not inviting Duda to participate in the Berlin government consultations.

Polish media analyzed that the Polish president's move was to protest the "North Stream 2" natural gas pipeline project and Germany's unfriendly attitude towards the Polish government.
