The American Football Federation will offer identical contracts to the men and women who play for the national team, the USSF said in a statement on Tuesday.
"US Soccer believes that the way forward for all involved and for the future of sport in the United States is through a single salary structure for the two national teams," said the Federation.
USSF President Cindy Parlow Cone last week said the body wanted to level the bonuses paid to men and women at the World Cup.
This is the main demand of the players.
The Federation assured Tuesday that it would not sign an agreement "which would not make the important step forward of equal bonuses at the World Cup".
