Discotheques and nightclubs are allowed to open until midnight from 25 September, just like the other catering establishments.

This is confirmed by sources from The Hague after reporting from the

The same rules apply to discotheques and nightclubs as to the entire catering industry, so visitors need a corona ticket.

Outgoing Prime Minister Mark Rutte and outgoing Minister Hugo de Jonge (Public Health) will announce this at the press conference on Tuesday evening.

Furthermore, according to the

, the cabinet will

announce that mouth caps no longer need to be worn in schools.

They are still mandatory in public transport and in taxis.

The outgoing cabinet made it clear last month that discotheques and nightclubs would not be allowed to open their doors until November 1 at the earliest.

It would not be possible to keep enough distance here.

The KHN catering association then instituted summary proceedings on behalf of the entertainment venues.

Released 1,5 meters and more possible around events

In addition to the opening of discotheques and nightclubs, some other relaxations already leaked out on Sunday.

For example, the cabinet has decided to completely abandon the one and a half meter measure as of September 25.

Instead, the corona ticket will probably become mandatory from that date in the catering industry and in the art and culture sector.

By working with admission tickets, the outgoing cabinet wants to avoid having to stick to "restrictive measures for everyone" for a long time to come.

Multi-day events and festivals will also be allowed again under certain conditions.

It is not yet clear what these conditions will be exactly, but a maximum number of visitors based on a percentage of the normal capacity is considered.
