When it seemed that the negotiating table was safe from all turbulence, with the presence of Pedro Sánchez confirmed to preside over the conclave, Carles Puigdemont executed a movement to compromise the stability of the dialogue.

JxCat has unilaterally demanded two convicted by the Supreme Court to be part of the Catalan delegation of the table: its general secretary Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Turull, two convicted by the Supreme Court, later pardoned.

The neo-convergents also want their spokesperson in Congress Míriam Nogueras and the vice president of the Government, Jordi Puigneró, to participate in the forum.

The proposal of the formation chaired by Puigneró dynamite the consensus reached by the Government, which last week publicly confirmed through its spokesperson that the Catalan delegation of the forum would be exclusively made up of members of the Catalan Executive, ruling out the presence of the president of ERC, Oriol Junqueras.

Now, JxCat claims to include three members from outside the Government in the Catalan delegation, two of them being leaders condemned for their involvement in 1-O.

Puigdemont's decision, agreed this morning by the JxCat executive, threatens to generate a schism in the Government, which is currently meeting to agree on the members of the Catalan delegation at the table.

ERC already announced last week that its representatives would be President Aragonès, the Minister of the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà and the Minister of Business, Roger Torrent.

adhering to the commitment not to resort to party members outside the Cabinet.
