The Italian midfielder of Paris SG Marco Verratti, affected to a knee with his selection, will be absent "at least ten days", his club announced Tuesday, which will have to do without him in Bruges on Wednesday, for the first day of the Champions League.

The European champion with the Nazionale suffers from a "contusion to the left knee", said PSG.

In addition to Bruges, he will miss Sunday the first shock in Ligue 1 of his team, against Lyon.

His presence against Manchester City on September 28 is also questioned.

Alongside Verratti, Angel Di Maria (suspended) and Sergio Ramos (calf) are the other two major absentees from the Parisian group for the short trip to Belgium.

The Spanish defender, who has not played a minute in his new colors, including friendlies, "resumed his individual preparation on the pitch," said PSG.

Superstars Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé appear in the list of 22 players retained by coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine technician is expected to field them together for the first time this season.

Unbeaten in the Championship (5 wins in as many matches), the Parisians hope to extend their good momentum in Bruges.
