On the 14th, President Moon Jae-in awarded the 'Presidential Special Envoy for Future Generations and Culture' to the group BTS.

On this morning, BTS, Big Hit Music CEO Shin Young-jae, and Hive Director Lee Jin-hyeong attended the presidential appointment ceremony held at the main building of the Blue House.

BTS visited the Blue House for the first time in about a year since the 1st Youth Day ceremony held in September last year and received a diplomat's passport and fountain pen along with a letter of appointment.

Earlier, in July, President Moon appointed BTS as a special envoy to lead international cooperation related to the global agenda for future generations and to expand Korea's diplomatic power in the international community.

A Blue House official said, "We expect that BTS's actions will serve as a meaningful opportunity to expand communication with young people around the world and draw sympathy for future generations on major international issues."

BTS will attend the New York itinerary for 3 nights and 5 days on the 19th and 23rd as a special envoy, and begin their activities as a 'cultural envoy' in earnest as a special speaker at the 76th United Nations General Assembly.

Furthermore, we plan to deliver messages of comfort and hope to young people around the world at major international conferences, and carry out activities to solve global challenges such as the environment, poverty, and respect for inequality and diversity.
