As part of the activities of its 10th session, the International Forum for Government Communication, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office, will hold two dialogue sessions on 26 and 27 September. Media content and its superiority in attracting the audience to the facts.

The meeting, which is moderated by Emirati journalist Mohammed Al Kaabi, reviews three axes, under the title “How the community participates in the formulation of decisions”, dealing with methodologies and models of communication between the public and governments and their impact, and how the government response plays a role in building trust between the community and the official, in embodying the extent of interest that His commitment to the UAE for live interaction with the various segments of the public.

Under the title "Storytelling... Its Meaning and Role in Discourse Impact", the session held on the second day of the forum sheds light on the power of stories and their effectiveness in government discourses, based on studies and statistics that reveal the superiority of stories with the strength of their impact on facts 22 times more on awareness and audience behavior, which motivates communication experts and content creators to take advantage of the narrative style in their discourse to audiences.

The session is moderated by the Lebanese media, Malik Maktabi, who has a distinguished experience in managing dialogues in a narrative form, and hosts the CEO of the storytelling at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, who has various contributions that allowed him to use the narrative in his work with many local and international organizations, Rashid. Al-Falahi, the editor-in-chief of National Geographic Arabia magazine, Al-Saad Al-Menhali, the Emirati director and screenwriter, Nayla Al-Khaja, and the writer and photographer Will Store.

The session participants answer questions about the importance of storytelling for government communicators, how to master this art, and what channels are able to attract the attention and interest of the public, within themes that review models that have succeeded in employing storytelling to build ideas and convictions, and examine whether the narrative method works with Messages of all government communication departments, or is it limited to specific messages.
